September 2, 1953 - July 4, 2024
Olivia D. Chaverria, age 70 went to be with our Lord Thursday, July 4, 2024.
She was born in San Antonio, Texas September 2, 1953 to the late Gloria Gallego Dominguez and Jose Dominguez.
Olivia was a loving sister, mother and grandmother. She loved caring for her grandchildren and spending time with her family.
She is a 1971 graduate of Fox Tech High School. Olivia retired from the San Antonio Express-News after many years of dedicated service. On her off time, she continued to practice her cosmetology, cutting and styling family members and friends hair. She enjoyed spending time at home watching her TV shows. Olivia was a lifelong member of Church of God 7th day.
Olivia is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Gloria Dominguez; her two brothers, Albert Dominguez and Geno Dominguez.
She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Gloria Hinojosa, her husband, Marcos Hinojosa and Erica Lopez and her husband, Edgar Lopez; grandchildren, Lauren, Adrian and Gabriel; siblings, Frank Dominguez his wife, Margaret, Elizabeth Garcia, Joe Dominguez his wife, Irma , Jesse Dominguez, George Dominguez his wife, Jackie and Brenda De Leon and her husband, Paul; also, numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 28, 2024 at Church of God 7th day from 12:00pm-4:00pm. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 6:00pm at Church of God 7th day Church 4131 Williard Dr. San Antonio, TX 78228.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Church of God 7th Day P.O. Box 380492 San Antonio, TX 78268-0492

My beautiful Mama Olivia,
I miss you so much. I love you so much. I wish you didn´t have to go because you made my life & so many others life better just because you are in it. You didn´t have to help raise me but you did & did with so much love... I could never repay everything you have done for me, thank you for defending me against others, thank you for showing me what family means, thank you for your beautiful laugh that I loved so much that I would try every moment I had with you to make you laugh! And you did! Thank you for being so amazing that I could not think of anyone that i would rather name my daughter after than you cause you have always been one of greatest women I´ve ever known . I´m sorry for the hard times you had throughout your life that hurt so much. Its understandable that you would be not always in the greatest mood, but what made you the greatest is that no matter the pain you were going through... you put your daughters first & foremost. Constantly working to provide by yourself & not having a personal life of your own if it meant that your daughters were somehow safer. Thank you for loving my kids & me & most of all loving me when I didn´t even love myself. I know you know that I adore you & I hope that the love & laughter & gratitude that I showed you helped you realize how amazing you truly are. I Need the world to how amazing Olivia is .

My dear friend Olivia- I miss you so much. There´s been so many times I want to pick up the and call you, like we always did. Just to chat, laugh, or rant about something, I will miss these calls. RIP - I know all your aches and pains are healed now. Bye for now until we meet again
