Oscar Guevara Obituary
Oscar H. Guevara, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather went to be with the Lord on July 19, 2016. Oscar was proceeded in death by his parents Francisco and Candida Guevara, Brother Francisco and Sister Cruz. He is survived by his wife of 69 years Soyla. Daughters Martha Logsdon (Craig) and Pat Guevara-Hix, his grandchildren Michelle Lynch (Jay) and Justin Martinez (Ale) Great grandchildren, Jay T., Maddie, Hank, Oscar, Johnny, Michael and Molly. ). Sisters, Jovita, Lilly and Selfia.
Oscar was born in Poth, TX. In 1943 he was drafted into the US Army and on August 24, 1946 he married Soyla Garza and together they had two beautiful daughters. In June 1976 his first grandchild Michelle was born and in March 1983 his only grandson Justin was born. Oscar was strong, honest, humble and a caring man.
SERVICES
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 from 6:00pm-9:00pm, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00pm at Brookehill Funeral Home. A procession will depart the funeral home on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 9:45am, with a 10:15am Graveside Service at Ft. Sam Houston National. Cemetery.
