Pat Bailey was my football coach my senior year in high school, 1987-88 at Antonian. I recall him fondly & learned so much about my perspective & journey as a high school athlete. Coach Bailey wanted to win & compete all the time but he also understood that your success as an athlete or team was not always measured by the final score or your record. I grew in confidence because of him & he was always fun to be around & he knew more about football than I ever forget. Our record was only 2-8 but we broke the San Antonio city losing streak in football at Antonian & I've always been grateful for having played for him. Anyone who was ever coached by him came away as a better athlete, better person & a better man. Love you & miss you, Coach ...
