Patricia Ann Matonak led an adventurous life. Born in Camden, NJ, she attended Georgian Court College. After graduating, she worked for the Army in Japan. While in Japan she climbed Mount Fuji twice and became a secular Franciscan. After marrying Lawrence Matonak, she moved to the San Fernando Valley, California, in 1959 where she raised eight children. Patricia was active in her church, the Right to Life movement, the Secular Franciscan order, and Kappa Gamma Pi. She loved to travel and visited thirteen countries. In 2018, she moved to San Antonio, Texas.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, her parents Mary and Albert (Fred) Bray, and her three siblings: Damaris Sayce, Mary Ellen Bray, and Alfred (John) Bray. She is survived by her children: Mary King (Jimmy), Nicholas, Ann Marie, Daniel, Timothy, Andrew, Theresa, and Anthony Matonak, and eight nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Mass will be offered Monday, June 6, 2022 at 10:00am at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Burial will follow at San Fernando Mission Cemetery, California.

Patricia was a supporter of St. Francis Mission on the Rosebud Indian Reservation in South Dakota. We are grateful for her help and will remember her and her family in our prayers and at Mass.
