Patsy 'Pat' Ruth McNamee Dickey, of Castroville, Texas passed away January 18, 2024 at the age of 98. She was born May 31, 1925 in El Dorado, Arkansas to William Roy McNamee and Lucile Durham McNamee.
Pat graduated from Brackenridge High School in San Antonio. Shortly after graduation, she married Lem E. Dickey on June 5, 1943. They were blessed with over sixty-seven years of marriage at the time of Lem's passing on October 27, 2010.
For many years she worked as a pediatric medical assistant in San Antonio. In the late '90's she and Lem moved from Leon Springs to Castroville to be near their daughter. Pat was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and St. Ann's Altar Society.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Dale Holzhaus of Castroville; grandchildren, Travis Holzhaus, Layne Holzhaus, Joe (JoAnn) Dickey, Donna (John) Sullivan, and Kay (Marvin) Farar; nine great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lem E. Dickey and son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Anna Dickey.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home with the Holy Rosary recited at 5:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 26, 2024 at St. Louis Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery in Castroville, Texas.
Memorials may be made in Pat's memory to St. Louis Catholic School in Castroville or to the charity of your choice.
