Paul Byron Seymore, Jr. passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021, just 4 days before his 76th birthday.

Paul is survived by his brother, Jerry D Seymore. He will be remembered as an accomplished artist, a designer and a beautician. Paul was a world traveler, having visited every continent except Antarctica during a colorful career. He was a makeup artist to Hollywood stars such as Ava Gabor, travelled to Russia to instruct in the use of beauty products, and opened many salons in multiple locations around the country. Charming, funny, kind and outgoing, no crowd was immune to his personality. He chose his friends carefully and treasured them.

Paul was at pains to be larger than life, and indeed he succeeded in making himself a one-of-a-kind.

No one forgets their experiences in his company. At his specific request, there will be no services. He asked that his ashes be scattered somewhere beautiful in the Hill Country.

My heart hurts that I will not see Paul here again. I will forever cherish the friendship he developed with all his clients and friends, the stories of his travels, decorating, pets, and his professionalism in making you feel "beautiful". I followed him around San Antonio for over 25 years. He was a confidant that made you not afraid to share family stories. He cared a lot and always listened, gave advice, and encouraged you. I will miss being greeted by Cozmo at my appointments, and Paul´s hug when I left. My condolences to Jerry, and all of you.

I am so sorry to hear of Mr Seymore's passing. I knew him as one of my favorite customers at Walgreens and I loved when he would bring Cosmo in to the store to visit. He will be missed. My condolences to the family

Paul was a dear friend and the best hairdresser ever. He truly was a "hair whisperer" who could create beautiful, sculpted designs and hair coloring that made us all feel beautiful. I will greatly miss him and remember him fondly.

Paul made us all beautiful, not just by fixing our hair, but by enriching our souls. He has left a void that can´t be filled.

My husband and I treasured his friendship. He took care of my hair on weekly basis, brought us soup when we were ill, offered to do so many tasks for us. He was a true friend whom we will miss so much.

We hit the jackpot when Paul moved in next door to us several years ago. He brightened our days every time we´d chat in the front yard. He and our 8 year old were besties. The Easter Bunny always delivered an extra basket for her at Paul´s house. He was always so kind to her and to us. The beautiful home that he created will be a constant reminder of his beautiful spirit and will inspire us to see and create art in our daily lives. My family is better to have known Paul. May he rest easy.

My deepest sympathies, Jerry. Paul was my awesome hair dresser for awhile several years ago and then again the last couple of years, but also my friend. My heart has been so heavy but already certain songs play and although the tears come I feel peace knowing he is at Peace. I know every time I see a picture of plants (canalillies - especially black) or travel or anything that signifies his great taste in everything he did I will Smile and say Thank you Paul for the joy and beauty you brought to my life. I miss you so much and will never forget you and will see you again. It warms my heart knowing you will be up here in the hill country close to me. Prayers and love to all

Paul was a wonderful neighbor. His sense of humor and friendship helped all of us deal with the pandemic. His passing has left an empty space in our lives.

Paul was indeed one of a kind. He would often join us in our Friday neighborhood gatherings. He always had the most fascinating stories. Never a dull moment and always willing to help however he could. He will be sorely missed.
