Ramiro E. Garza, a retired truck driver and produce broker, a mentor to many, and a friend to all passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021, surrounded by his loving wife and devoted family. Born October 15, 1943 in San Antonio, TX to Tiodolinda Gallardo and Ramiro Garza, Ramiro was an avid traveler and socialite from the beginning to the end. He dearly loved his family and most often made friends with those he encountered, always assured as though they were destined to meet and make conversation. He was happiest behind the wheel of a truck, and the great outdoors was his heaven on earth. In his later years, when health ailments robbed him of his strength and stamina, it also gave him a softness we treasured. During this time, he taught us patience and allowed us to show him a small measure of service he had long showed all of us. He will be remembered for his teasing jokes, his wildly entertaining stories, his powerful testimony, his unfailing work ethic, his generous smile and his willingness to help those he loved most when they were in need. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him. Ramiro's memory will be cherished and kept alive by his adoring and loving Wife of 59 years, Betty Garza; Mother, Tiodolinda Gallardo; Son, John Garza; Grandchildren, Bonnie Garza (Joe Lopez), Ramiro Garza (Belinda Garza), Joseph Garza, Jacob Garza; Great Grandchildren, Ava Lopez, Witten Garza, Walker Garza; Sisters, Socorro Valdillez (Henry Parilla), Rosario DeOco, Rosalinda Herrera; Brothers, Rene Garza, Ricky Garza, Renaldo Garza; Brother-in-Law, Danny Guerra (Julia Gonzales) and several other devoted family members. He is preceded in death by his Father, Ramiro Garza; Son, Rodney Garza.

My heart is broken Betty n John n its hurts 4 you. We were shocked 2 find out that Ramiro went home 2 the Lord. My solace is that he is no longer suffering and is the Lord's house. I'm so sorry we missed his services but you know Mel is always involved in out of town fishing or golf tournaments that he was previously committed to.
I had called you but never got 2 speak 2 you n I fully understand but just wanted 2 say how much we love both of you. We go bk to 1980 whn we were neighbors off of 1000 Oaks ...those are great memories especially with our active n funny boys...I'm a phone call away my sweets. I will try calling u whn we get home later this week. Love you my sweet Betty. May the lord surround u with his comforting love in this sorrowful time. Hope ur doing better with this covid illness.

My deepest condolences Betty, Tia, Socorro and all of the family. Ramiro was a ray of sunshine every time I saw him. I have many fond memories from when I was very young to the last time I saw him when my sister, Patricia and I had lunch with him and the family. Ramiro was very approachable to everyone. You could tell by looking at him that he was a very friendly, caring, loving, giving and funny person. I will keep you all in prayers. I love you. Rest in Peace Ramiro.
