Randall McGinnis Obituary
Randall Scott McGinnis passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017 in Atlanta, GA. He was born in Austin, Texas on November 12, 1965. Scott was a lifelong resident of San Antonio. His love for the outdoors was evident in his passion for fishing and hunting. Scott was loved by so many for his kind heart and infectious belly laugh. There were no strangers in his life as he welcomed everyone with his beautiful smile and a cold beer. He was a loving son, a protective big brother,a fun loving uncle who called for every birthday, and a devoted friend. His sudden death has affected so many and his passing has left a huge void. There is comfort in knowing he is with his dad now enjoying a cold one watching over us.
He is preceded in death by his father, Robert S. McGinnis; paternal grandparents, Christine & Clarence Bitzkie; maternal grandparents, Harry & Sophie Rodriguez. He is survived by his mother, Marie McGinnis-Mercure; stepfather, Fred Mercure; sisters, Maureen Estrada, Michelle Van Prooyen (Keith); brother, Stewart McGinnis (Jenny Pastrano-McGinnis); nieces & nephews, Victoria, Anissa, Alexander, Aaron, Holden, Andrew, Alyssa, Kameron, Kallie; along with numerous family & friends.
A memorial service will be held at St. Matthews Catholic Church on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.

My name is Michelle Kucinich. I met Randall “Scott” 2003 in Cleveland, Ohio. Our souls met and we meshed. We were together the whole time he was here and when he would go to different jobs, I would fly and visit him. Our lives unfortunately never aligned correctly back then but we always stayed in contact over the years. He invited me to Atlanta in 2016 but again, our paths just didn’t align. I married and divorced and we always stayed in contact. I realized I hadn’t heard from him in awhile so I googled him after calling his disconnected number. I was heartbroken to see this. I cried for days and still feel excruciating sadness to know O will never hear his voice or see his face. To his family, we never met but I am so sorry. may cherished memories bring you some peace and comfort. He was an amazing, caring Man with the greatest laugh. He will forever hold a part of my heart. There are no words to mend all the hearts that were touched by Scott... The best way I can describe him... he had what I called, an old soul and a beautiful heart. I feel fortunate that he crossed my path in life. My deepest condolences to all who loved him and new him, no matter for a moment or for a lifetime.
