Rena Chambers was born July 21, 1926 in San Antonio, Texas to Arbuth and Lyttie Merkin. She went home to be with our Lord on September 4, 2021. She is preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Robert Chambers. She is survived by her daughter Terry Herrmann, son Chris (Cheryl); grandchildren Tiffany Jureczki (Jeff), Carie Bodnar (Chris), Shelley Nicolai (Robert), Micah Chambers (Sunim); and eleven great-grandchildren.

Although it was her husband who was an educator for 42 years, it was Rena who attended all the school functions and supported her husband in all he did. She was the cook for all tent camping trips. In her own interests, she was a co-founder of the Co-Wi club and The Shopette, a thrift shop for her church.

Honey's passion was her husband and her family whom she loved and enjoyed spending time with. She was the life of the gatherings by adding her humor, infectious laughter, and good cooking. Her love, sense of humor and stories will be missed.
