Rhetta Harper Tatsch, 63, of Dilley, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2006 in Dilley. She was born August 23, 1943 to Dunlap and Mary Harper in Corpus Christi. She taught High School for many years, and was a member of the Dilley United Methodist Church; Daughters of the Republic of Texas; Daughters of the American Revolution; Delta Kappa Gamma; TSTA/NEA (retired); and through the Harper Ranch, the Santa Gertrudis Breeders International (SGBI). She graduated from Dilley High School; received her BA from Trinity University, and her MA from Incarnate Word. She taught in Austin; MacArthur HS in San Antonio; Alamo Heights HS; and Dilley HS. Survivors include her husband, Jim D. Tatsch of Dilley; her children, Warren Dunlap Hamilton of Green Cove Springs, FL; Tamara Fischer Tatsch McDonald and her husband Charles of Colleyville, TX; and Taylor Harper Tatsch of Dallas; one granddaughter, Sarah Ashley McDonald; one sister and brother-in-law, Helene Harper and Jack Stradley of Midland TX. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Maurice Harper Price and Susan Harper Morris. Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 30th in the Dilley United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Dilley Cemetery.
