Richard or Bozo as he was known to his circle of friends in the neighborhood, will be sorely missed. I have many fond memories of playing together as kids and attending elementary through High School as classmates. He served as a groomsman at our wedding and was the Godfather of my son. He was a good friend whose character was beyond reproach. Our sincere heartfelt sympathies to the family.

Olivia and Bazan Family: I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Richard was a great man who always had a smile for everyone. I remember how much he liked to cook and his menudo was my favorite. I'm sure you will treasure all the wonderful memories and laugh at some of them as time goes on. May God comfort all of you at this time and will keep you all in my prayers.

Well heaven is happier place to be now that my friend of 55 plus years. Bozo as we all knew him was a giant gentle teddy bear. A heart of gold, that would be there for you at a second notice. My friend not only like to bar b que, he enjoyed building barbecue pits. I'm going to miss our phone conversations. Although we lived only a block and a half away, I would call him in the mornings to get tacos. We enjoyed our friendship because our conversations were always humorous, we would exchange wits to see who would be the funniest. Yes, I am going to miss you but my loss is heaven's gain.Ahhh. Til we meet again.

Dad you were the first man I ever loved. You always told me I should have been your boy. I remember you in the backyard welding bbq pits and you having us paint them (free labor). You had us picking up your cans in the back yard (that wasn't free, I wanted the money from recycling). You loved to hunt and you took me in the deer blind, only I kept asking to many questions. You wanted us to feel like we were in the wild one cold night so we took our sleeping bags to the garage to pretend (only mom got mad and took me back inside). I remember you teaching me to ride my bike, I looked back to see if you were still pushing me and I hit the curb head on, but eventually I learned. You always loved when I acted out commercials (free entertainment for visitors). I will miss all the delicious foods you cooked, from your beans to menudo to dishes with stuff I didn't even know what I was eating. I just knew it probably wasn't low fat. I could always look into your eyes and feel like we had the same connection. I have so many fond memories dad and I'm glad I had the chance to tell you how much I loved you and that you live on in all of us. As you would always say, I will "STOP IT!" now. Loving you always dad, Jackalope

I can't remember a time in my life when I didn't know Richard. For sure I knew him long before the first grade. He was always a loyal friend, loved to joke, had a very friendly personality. Don't remember ever calling him Richard - Bozo was his name from the time I met him. Don't know how he got that name. I always knew I could count on his support when ever I need it which was often. I have many fond memories of Bozo. Heaven gained his loving spirit but I'll miss you my friend.
