Richard Colunga Obituary

Richard R. Colunga was called home by the Lord on August 20, 2008, at the age of 51. He was born in San Antonio, Texas, on August 30, 1956. He is preceded in death by his father, Danny Colunga; son, Richard Jr.; brother, Joe Robert and Michael Colunga. He is loved and will be missed by his loving wife and best friend, Eva Dolores Rico; mother, Sara Colunga; daughters, Pearl Cantu and husband Andrew, and Nadine Colunga Phothisarn and husband Phophet; son Richard J. Colunga and wife, Vanessa; grandchildren, Joshuua and Angelina Cantu, Destinni, Delayna, DeAmber and DeAnna Phothisarn and Genavieve Colunga; 7 brothers; 3 sisters; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, August 22, 2008, from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. The Funeral Procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2008 for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 824 Ruiz Street. Services under the direction of Castillo Mission Funeral Home.
