Richard Mendez Obituary
Richard F. Mendez Jr., born on November 6, 1944, was called into the loving hands of our Lord on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at the age of 72. He is reunited in Heaven with his loving wife of 51 years, Consuelo C. Mendez and parents, Richard G. and Victoria F. Mendez. Mr. Mendez is loved and will be greatly missed by his children, Sylvia Ann Calderon (James), and Richard C. Mendez III (Vanessa); grandchildren, Crystal Ann Mosqueda (Joey), Ashley Marie, Christopher James Calderon, Christian Richard, Emily Love and Lola Mia Mendez; great-grandchildren, Julian Santos, Noah James, Gracie Ann and Phoenix Xander Mosqueda; siblings, Janie Pulido (Gabe), Ralph Mendez (Carmen) and Jesse F. "Chuy" Mendez (Maria "Nena") as well as numerous loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 2 pm. until 9 pm. with a Rosary to be recited at 7 pm. at Castillo Mission Funeral Home. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 9:15 am. for a 10:00 am. Mass at Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church. Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
