"Life is Grand" describes the journey of Robert F. Ritter who passed away peacefully at St. Francis nursing home on October 9th 2021 at 92 years old. Robert was lovingly referred to as "Bob" by his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his two sisters, Mary Frances and Aldene, two brothers Thomas and John Ritter, and his beautiful wife Mary Jane Ritter who passed in 2018. He has survived by his brother Allen Ritter, his three children Carl Ritter, Mary Frances Ritter, and Paul Ritter and three grandchildren Dalton, Jack, and Katherine Grace. Robert was an Air Force airman first class at lackland Air Force Base from Oklahoma. Upon leaving the military he completed his accounting degree at St Mary's University and went on to complete his juris doctor at St Mary's law School. He began his law practice downtown and partnered up with judge Rivera for many years. They continued their legacy on Hildebrand in his infamous dome shaped building. He grew his empire for 58 years embracing every facet of law and also built a thriving commercial real estate practice. "Bob" loved practicing law and had a tireless work ethic. He worked up to two months before his passing. People were drawn to his welcoming smile and infectious laugh, clients were like family to him. Spiritual and always humble, he was a devout Catholic and praised the Lord daily with his rosary. He met the love of his life and married in 1960. Bob and Mary Jane had an unbreakable Bond of true love and genuine respect. They treated every outing together as if it was their first date. They traveled extensively, and fell in love with Europe. Bob never forgot his homegrown roots and found joy in representing the seraphic sisters of St Francis nursing home as well as The Hermann Son's Lodge downtown. He volunteered his time to charity and was a member of the knights of Columbus. The art of giving back, made his heart smile. Christmas was his favorite time of year. He reveled in the music the lights the spirit and the joy of family gatherings. A loving husband father and grandfather. A man of integrity and honor, stoic and proud, yet compassionate humble and empathetic. He was highly respected amongst his peers. Bob grabbed the brass Ring of Life and loved every bit of it. He was a true Jewel, that radiated goodness and kindness. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, as he touched so many lives, now he lays to rest, and is reunited with his beautiful bride for eternity. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, on Friday, October 29, 2021, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

My deepest sympathy to the family. I was shocked when I tired to call him today and found he had passed to his reward. I only met Ritter once when he did some work for me and my mother but he made a deep impression on me. He was such a geniun friendly happy person. May he rest in piece.
