Robert Dean Wilson, age 66, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022 in San Antonio. Dean was born in San Antonio on January 14, 1956 to Betty Mae Rumpf and Robert Maurice Wilson, and grew up in Devine, Texas.
He is survived by his life partner of 18 years, Sara A. Herrmann; his daughter, Meagan Anne Achterberg; son-in-law, Jeffrey A. Achterberg; granddaughters, Cora Brielle Achterberg and Chloe Vale Achterberg; stepchildren, Isabella M. Manuppelli and Jake M. Manuppelli; siblings, Sheryl L. Houston and Scott Wilson; and nephew, Jack Wilson.
Dean was in the wine and spirits industry for over 45 years and a co-owner of Multicarte, Inc. for over 30 years. He enjoyed all of the time he spent traveling the world, meeting new people and connecting with old friends on his travels.
Dean loved being at the beach with Sara. It was his favorite place in the world. He also loved spending time with Meagan, Jeff, his granddaughters, and Sara as a family. He never once forgot to bring his grand baby, Cora, her favorite cupcakes every single time they got together. He also enjoyed going to concerts, comedy shows, watching the same movies on repeat, and wining and dining his friends and everyone in the wine and spirits industry. He always looked forward to annual golf and hunting trips with his buddies. He had the best sense of humor and the most contagious laugh. Dean had a magnetic personality, the biggest heart, and was always so much fun to be around. His stories, facial expressions, and ability to keep everyone laughing at all times are just a few of the many reasons he was so loved. There was never a dull moment with him. He truly was one of a kind.
Dean is predeceased by his parents, Betty Mae Rumpf and Robert Maurice Wilson.
A celebration of Dean's life will be held at a later date.

I was so sorry to hear about Dean. We went to school together in Devine. He was always so funny- the class clown! I saw him several years ago at a homecoming game and he didn´t miss a beat. The obit summed up what I remember about Dean´s personality so well. I´m sure there is a huge void, but how blessed you are to have had him in your life. Please accept my deepest sympathy. God Bless, Glenda (Chant) Allen
