Roel Garcia Obituary

Roel S. Garcia, 41, went to his eternal rest, Saturday, September 22, 2001. Roel received numerous football awards while playing for Southwest High School including Texas All State School Boy Honors. He was very successful with his own business, Pro-Inspect and a member of the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce. Roel was a fun-loving, outgoing guy and an avid Oakland Raiders fan who was full of life and showed great compassion for others. He was a loving father, son, brother and the best uncle who will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his father, Rene Garcia, Jr. Roel is survived by his loving daughter, Jacquelyn Renee Garcia; mother, Maria A. Garcia; grandfather, Pedro Rodriguez; brothers and sisters, Rene Garcia, Jr., David Garcia and wife Valarie, Selma Hamphire and husband Earl, Cynthia A. Garcia, Araceli Orsack and husband Troy; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation will begin at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 25, 2001 with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 P.M. at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home. A Holy Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 26, 2001 at St. Mattew's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, send donations to the American Heart Association. Sunset Funeral Home Northwest.
