Ronald Kwan Obituary

Ronald Ray Kwan peacefully passed away at home surrounded by several members of his family on March 9, 2007. Ronnie was born on June 6, 1947 in San Antonio, where he lived most of his life. He graduated from the University of Texas School of Pharmacy and was a pharmacist for over 35 years, most recently at CVS Pharmacy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mae Kwan, and his sister, Joyce. He is survived by his loving partner, Gayla; brother, Ken Kwan and wife Betty; brother, Roy Kwan and wife Jeanie; sister, Bernice Wong and husband Clifford of San Francisco; 11 nieces and nephews; and his beloved kitties. Ronnie was deeply dedicated to his family and friends. He was a consummate poker player, a skilled woodworker, a member of Mensa and an endlessly entertaining storyteller. His loyalty, generosity and inimitable sense of humor will be missed by those who loved him. SERVICES The family will receive visitors on Friday, March 16, from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 17, at 3:00 P.M. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Interment will follow in Mission Burial Park South. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Animal Defense League at 11300 Nacogdoches, San Antonio, Texas, 78217.
