Rose Edwards Obituary

Rose Marie Edwards
May 1, 1936 - February 8, 2026
Praise the Lord! Rose Marie Edwards was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Feb 8. She passed into eternity peacefully from her home and her husband, Harry, after nearly 73 years together. She was born to Frank and Theresa Ross in Braddock, PA on May 1, 1936. She and Harry were high school sweethearts who were married in Pitcairn, PA on June 18, 1960. They departed the following month to pursue a career in the USAF. During their 30 years of service, they traveled extensively in service to our country and commitment to the christian faith. Rose Marie and her family were always quick to join the community of believers whenever their travels took them, sharing their love of Jesus both in words and services. Upon retirement from the AF in 1990, they chose San Antonio, TX as their permanent place of residence.
Over the years they belonged to the Universal City Methodist Church, Northern Hills United Methodist Church and St. Andrews Church and School depending upon where they lived in the city.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by their daughter Suzanne Davenport and granddaughter Amanda. Their son Mark preceded her in death as did her parents and her stepfather Louis Pradetto.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
Special thanks to her doctors and nurses and medical personnel who made her life a blessing despite her medical issues and constant pain. Especially thankful for Dr. Clifford Alprin and Dr. Orlando Suris who provided her great comfort and Maria Trevino, her care giver and friend at Holy Savior Hospice.
