I remember going to a Tawil family function with my husband Dan Felts. It was in the evening and my husband walked away from to get me a refreshment. Very soon after that a man that I didn't know approached me and started talking to me. Just moments later Rose appeared and told the man to leave me alone and took me with her to be closer to the family. She said, that man is a bother and likes to talk to women that are unaccpanied by anybody. You stay close to me and I'm sure your husband will soon find you. She really touched my heart, she was my hero that evening. She was very gracious and caring lady. We were friends for quite a number of years. Dan and I lived in Austin so weren't able to visit the Tawil family often enough for that reason. I love the Tawil family and would love to see them again now that I'm a widow.

I have only wonderful memories of your dear Mother from my childhood of what a sweet, kind and loving person she was. She was such a devoted Mother and I remember her fabulous cooking for all you kids, which Linda was always helping her to do. Though I know she had to be a strict mother raising 6 children, she had a beautiful countenance which was reflected both inside and out. I will always remember her with great admiration. Love to all the family and my deepest sympathy, Christina

My only contact with Rose was waving at her when I passed the house on Oakridge Dr. during my walk in Oak Hills. This brief contact always gave me a sense of uplift; the " smile (that) never left her face" is vivid in my memory. My condolences to the family.
