Rosie Rocamontes Obituary

Rosie Trevino Rocamontes, age 98, went to be with the Lord on Christmas Day, December 25, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents Alberto & Virginia Trevino; husband, Leo J. Rocamontes; 3 brothers & 5 sisters, and her great-granddaughter, Alexis Steele. She is survived by her 3 children, Tillie Jordan (Donald), Larry Rocamontes (Marilyn) and Michael Rocamontes; her sister, Josie Garza, 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Rosie was a long time member of St. Mary Magdalen's Catholic Church for over 65 years. She was a member of the Altar Society since 1950, the Guadalupanas since 1978, the Catholic Daughters of America, the Regina Guild of San Antonio since 1968, and a Kenwood Senior Center member. Rosie volunteered at Beacon Hill Baptist Church Nutrition Center serving meals for over 10 years and serving at the VA Hospital as well.
Visitation will be held at 5PM on Tues. Dec. 29, 2015 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church followed by a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. Mass will be on Wed. Dec. 30, 2015 at 9AM with interment to follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
