Sandra Marie Cavazos
October 5, 2025
We celebrate the beautiful life of our beloved mother, Sandra Marie Cavazos, who passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025, at the age of fifty-nine. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, unforgettable memories, a tireless work ethic and an unwavering faith in Jesus. She was an exemplary mother with a servant's heart, radiant spirit, and generous nature. Her love of God and family were paramount in her life. To know our mother was to know a warrior in every sense. Small in stature, but mighty in all she did for her family, others, and the challenges she faced. She cared deeply about being a great mother, and brought hope, and positivity to our lives. She always made you feel extra special.
She graduated from Thomas Edison High School; earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from Texas State University; and a Master of Business Administration in Management from the University of the Incarnate Word. Her professional career spanned almost 45 years with Guidehouse, USAA, JP Morgan Chase, SBC Communications, and other organizations.
She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going to church, the beach and being outdoors. She was our historian who loved to take pictures at family gatherings. She was a wonderful cook and took loving care of her pets over the years. She enjoyed fashion and was a sports fan who followed the Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs, and University of the Incarnate Word Cardinals. She listened to various genres of music, including 80's, classic rock, country, and Tejano. She led a meaningful life, and her family is blessed to have shared it with her. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her son Matthew Cavazos, daughter Priscilla Forey, sisters Carol Gonzalez and Laura Montalvo, as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
