It is with overwhelming sorrow that our precious mother, Sharon Anita Batchellor Ducote has passed away into God's grace and love on October 20, 2021.
Blessed by her beautiful soul are her two children David Ducote and Natalie Mary, their father James Ducote, and her brother Michael Batchellor.
She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Batchellor, mother, Mary Batchellor, and son-in-law Daniel Mary.
Born in Brownsville, TX July 14, 1946, she went to high school at Sam Houston in San Antonio, and graduated from Sam Houston State with her teaching degree. She loved to teach her students and get them to think on their own. Sharon had many who loved her dearly and were inspired by her fun loving nature, joy, beauty, love for communion, faith, honor, and worship and adoration of God.
Her sweet smile and laughter will be greatly missed by her children, family, and friends. "Press on" was her message to you, her Remaining Ones, with all her love.
Services will be held at San Antonio Mission Park North Funeral Chapels and Cemetery Dominion (located at the back of the cemetery) 11/5, 2 p.m. 20900 I-10 W

Sharon and I taught adult education classes at Alamo Colleges. She always made my day with her laughter, energy, and humor. She was spontaneous and very real.
Her students loved her. We never agreed on anything, especially in the political realm, yet every morning I looked forward to seeing her, laughing and joking with her. There was a spark of happiness missing on the few days we didn´t connect. I´m sorry and saddened to see such a bright and individualistic lady gone too way too soon.

We have so many fond memories of the times we spent with Sharon and the family. Her entertaining stories, her love of life and laughter. We hope you can find calm in the knowledge that she has eternal peace in the kingdom of heaven. That she rests with her beloved mom & dad. That all our lives have been touched by sharing her joy.
Deepest condolences to the Ducote family or love and prayers are with you.

In my earlier post, I was so lost in my memories of Sharon that I failed to offer condolences to her family and friends. I do pray that God would comfort each of you with a comfort that only He can give.

I, too, Graduated with Sharon from Sam Houston high school in 1964. While we were friends in high school we became even better friends in the years following. In 1972 we worked closely on a four year reunion for those from the 1961-64 classes.. She was the treasurer and I was the general chairman. She was a very special person who could always make those around her feel special also. I will always treasure the memories I have of her and look forward to spending eternity with her in the presence of Jesus.

Sharon and I were classmates at Sam Houston. She was a beautiful personable young Lady and a good Friend. We had many classes together and I recall our many conversations throughout our high school years. Sharon was admired by many fellow students and faculty. My sincere condolences to Her Family and Loved Ones. May God Bless.
