Shauna Delgado Obituary
Shauna Delgado, loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister entered into eternal rest on November 20, 2011 at the age of 34. She was born on August 13, 1977 in Portland, OR. Shauna was the valedictorian of Rio Cazadero High School, class of 1995, in Sacramento, CA. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University obtaining her Bachelor's degree. Her biggest passion and joy in life was that she was a mother to her two little girls. Shauna is survived by her loving husband of 6 years, Francisco Delgado; daughters, Alexis and Vanessa Delgado; parents, Don and Susan Richie; brother, Jason Richie; and sister, Jessica Richie. Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 13715 Riggs Rd, Helotes, TX, and the Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery at Cordi-Marian. Online guestbook may be signed at www.sunsetnwfuneralhome.com

Shauna, you were my best friend in highschool and I have tried to find you for a few years now. I just found this online and I have such great sorrow in my heart. My prayers are with your Mom that I also called Mom, your family, husband and daughters. I wish I could have shared one more laugh with you and will continue to pray for your family.

To the Delgado and Richie Family, our family's prayers are lifted to God in your favor. While this is a very sad day in our lives, we must also rejoice in the faith that we do have and allow HIM to see that we carry our cross with strength and courage for HIS greater glory. God loaned Shauna to us to fulfill HIS plan and she accomplished so HE took her back to her heavenly home. While I did not know Shauna personally, I know of Shauna through the friendship of her Father. Our family is blessed because of Don and Shauna, for we share the pain and sorrow but also rejoice in accomplishing God's plan and mysterious ways to impact each of us. We continue praying with faith, hope, courage and determination that we will all be together again some day in heaven!

Shauna was a wonderful co-worker and friend. She inspired those of us who knew her and earned tremendous respect for her courage and optimism through a very difficult battle. She will be missed. I pray that her children can eventually find peace and that they are surrounded by friends and family for support.
