Sylvia Garcia Heitczman was born on May 28, 1951, in San Antonio, Texas, and passed away on October 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred C. and Beatrice Marinez Garcia; and brother, Wilfred C. Garcia Jr. She is survived by her husband, James Heitczman; cherished sons, Manuel "Bud" De La Rosa III and Jeffrey Roy Huerta (Priscilla); and her husband's children, Jessica Heitczman (Michael) Wood and Michael Heitczman, whom she loved as her own. She's also survived by her brothers and sisters, several grandchildren, and one great-grandchild who brought her deep joy.
A devoted Registered Nurse, Sylvia spent her life caring for others with compassion, skill, and grace. A proud woman of God, she lived her faith daily through kindness, encouragement, and service. She cherished time with family and friends and found purpose and joy in her church, House of Manna. Sylvia's legacy of faith, devotion, and love will forever live in the hearts of those who knew her.
