Valentin Ramirez Obituary
Valentin Ramirez, 80, went to be with his Lord on December 28, 2017. He was born in Waelder, Texas to Casimiro and Martina Ramirez on June 3, 1937. He married the love of his life Maria Del Carmen in 1967. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for over 50 years. He was a Eucharistic Minister, Lector, usher, member of the Men's Club, Knights of Columbus, St. Vincent de Paul Society, and Pastoral Council. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, grandson, one sister, and two brothers. He is survived by his children: Debra Santiago (Pedro), Adrian Ramirez (fiancée Rose); grandchildren: Anthony, Lorenzo, Mario Valentin, and Mary; siblings: Paula Alonzo, Ysidro Ramirez (Frances), Lupe Ramirez, Adela Gutierrez, Alice Barrientes (Frank), Lucy Ramirez, and John Ramirez. Visitation on Friday January 5, 2018 at Roy Akers Funeral Home 515 N. Main Ave from 5-9 p.m. with the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Immaculate Heart of Mary at 9:30 a.m. A second Viewing will be held at 12:00 at St. Patrick's Church 613 Hwy 90 E. Waelder, Texas, with interment immediately following.
