WILLIAM CARLTON CHURCH IV
March 26, 1969 - October 19, 2025
William Carlton Church IV died on October 19, 2025. He was born on March 26, 1969, to Anne Schoenfeld Church and William Carlton Church III.

After attending the San Antonio Academy and Alamo Heights High School, he attended the San Antonio Art Institute.

He was proud of his family history. On his father's side, he was a sixth generation Texan. He was descended from CH Guenther who founded Pioneer Flour Mill. And he was a fifth generation Texan, from his mother's side, as he was descended from the Schoenfeld brothers who were stonemasons and came to Texas from Germany to build the Texas state capital.

Growing up, William delighted in spending time with his many cousins. Together they filled summers and family gatherings with fun, mischief, and lasting memories.

He was an excellent water skier, a talented carpenter, enjoyed singing and was an adventurous cook.

William was preceded in death by his grandparents: Bill and Margie Church, Perry and Gene Schoenfeld; also, by his aunt, Barbara Schoenfeld. William is survived by his mother, Anne Church; sister, Elizabeth Anne Dunlap; nephews, Calvin Dunlap and Jonah Dunlap; niece Emmy Dunlap, aunts and uncles, Marilyn and Walter Church, Elizabeth and Ray McCown, Genie and Sam Callahan, Webb Schoenfeld and Andy Smith.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at St Mark's Episcopal Church, 315 E. Pecan St., San Antonio, Texas 78205. A reception will immediately follow at Galeria E.V.A., 3412 S Flores St., San Antonio, Texas 78204
