Michele Kirk Obituary
A Life Remembered for Its Depth, Beauty, and Enduring Love of Michele Rae Kirk, born January 19, 1952, passed away on October 17, 2025, at the age of 73. Leaving behind a legacy as complex and deeply human as the life she lived, Michele is remembered for her free spirit, creative soul, and her undeniable love for the natural world. Whether fishing, hiking outdoors or simply enjoying the beauty around her, Michele felt most at home in nature. Her affection for animals, especially dogs and horses, was truly unmatched.
A gifted artist, Michele had an extraordinary eye for beauty and detail, often transforming the most ordinary objects into something meaningful and striking. No project was too broken for her to mend; she saw potential where others might not look. Her creativity was not only a talent but also a way she brought beauty and meaning into the world.
Michele's life was marked by personal struggles, including battles with substance abuse and addiction. Although these challenges made it difficult for her to be present in the ways she wished, her love for her children never wavered. Even when imperfectly expressed, her love was real, deep, and enduring. She took pride in the strength and journeys of her children, and her affection for them remained a constant throughout her life.
She was the beloved mother of Joseph Puliafico, Matthew Moreno, Justin Lawrence, and Renelle Lawrence. Her legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren-Mark and Sophia Puliafico, Bentley and Carter Bergeron, and her beloved great-grandchildren, Andromeda and Astraea Puliafico, who brought joy to her life. Michele is also survived by her mother, Glenyce-Lee Heiner; her brother, Mitchell; and her sister, Colette. She was predeceased by her father, Richard Kirk, and siblings, Mark Kirk and Neysa Frickie.
Michele is remembered with a mix of sorrow and gratitude-sorrow for the pain she endured and the time lost, and gratitude for the beauty she brought into the world in her own unique way. Her life, though complex, leaves a lasting legacy of love that endures in her family across generations.
A memorial mass for Michele, will be held at 11am on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Community in Tres Pinos, CA.
