Alice Silva Hydrick

HYDRICK, ALICE SILVA Oct. 3, 1919 to July 16, 2006 Preceded in death by her husband of 46 years George Neverson Hydrick of Houston, TX. Alice was born and grew up in Honolulu, HI and had five sisters and two brothers-all deceased except Margaret Pereira of Newbury Park, CA. Alice's parents sailed around the Horn from Madeira, Portugal on the ship Willesden to Honolulu in 1911. She worked for the U.S. Navy until 1943 when she relocated to CA. With a career in the aerospace industry, she also raised a family and eventually settled in Chula Vista where she was a parishoner at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. She is survived by three sons: William P. of San Diego, Paul P. of AZ and Laurence T. of San Diego; five stepchildren, eight grandchildren-one deceased and three great-grandchildren.
