Andreas Rechnitzer Obituary
Andreas Buchwald Rechnitzer, 80, of El Cajon died Aug. 22. He was born in Escondido and was a oceanographer for the federal government.
He was retired from the Navy and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Rechnitzer; daughter, Andrea Fry of Spring Valley; sons, David Rechnitzer of Fullerton, Martin Rechnitzer of Burleson, Texas, and Michael Rechnitzer of El Cajon; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services: 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sumner Auditorium, 8625 Discovery Way, La Jolla.
Inurnment: private.
