Andrew Hohn Obituary

Hohn, Andrew Vincent (Chub or Andy) 07/03/1923 ~ 11/15/2013 FALLBROOK -- After a brief battle with congestive heart failure, Andy passed away peacefully on Friday, November 15, 2013 surrounded by family. Born in Downey, CA, Andy was a successful municipal contractor, hog and cattle rancher and finally, a mobile home community developer. He had a long and wonderful life and was dearly loved until the end of his days. Andy married the love of his life, Mary Grace Wing in July 1944. They had eight children and were devout Catholics. Andy lived for Grace and his children while working endlessly to build a legacy for them all. He was generous to all who he knew and WORK was his hobby. Andy was preceded in death by his beautiful wife of 65 years, Grace; and his daughter, Enid. He is survived by his seven children, Andrea Porfirio, Bruce Hohn, Claudia Hohn, Felice Gingrass, Gail Schwartz, Eric Hohn, and Robert Hohn; 13 grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren. He will be deeply missed. Andy will be laid to rest at All Souls Catholic Cemetery on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 after a private family ceremony at his home.

Rest in peace, Cousin Andy. I always loved Dad's stories about you and the rest of the family growing up in L.A. and the antics on the ranches.
