ARTHUR DANIEL FRIEDMAN

FRIEDMAN, ARTHUR DANIEL April 24, 1940 to October 24, 2011 Arthur Daniel Friedman died on October 24, 2011, at the age of 71. Art was born in New York City and raised in the Bronx, to Henry and Yetta Friedman. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He received four degrees from Columbia University. He was a computer science researcher at Bell Labs, a University Professor at USC and the George Washington University, the author of six technical books on fault tolerant computing, switching theory and logic design, co-founder of Computer Science Press and Potomac Partners. He has also been involved with the Greater San Diego Science and Engineering Fair, where he volunteered as a judge for many years. Art is survived by his wife, Barbara; sons Michael and Steven; grandchildren Logan, Kaitlin, Blake, and Makayla.
