Bonnie Gray Obituary

Bonnie Raedisch Gray, 80, passed away on June 8, 2020, at ActivCare in San Diego, California. She was born on December 9, 1939, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Vernon and Dorothy Raedisch.
Bonnie settled in San Diego County, where she spent a majority of her career as a highly respected hospice social worker, administrator, and mentor. Bonnie was passionate and caring, and dedicated to the patients and families she worked with and found immense satisfaction guiding them through end-of-life care.
In 1982, Bonnie married the love of her life, Terence R. Gray Sr., on a backpacking trip in California. Bonnie loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, horseback riding, and tennis, as well as yoga and travel. She received many awards for her outstanding archery skills, including gold medals in the Senior Olympics. Bonnie was an exceptionally talented artist utilizing items from nature in her basket-making, gourd art, and jewelry creations.
Bonnie is survived by her brother Robert Raedisch; sister-in-law Mary Evelyn Raedisch; niece Tanya Smith (Rayner); nephew Ryan Raedisch (April); stepchildren Terry Gray Jr. (Lisa), Judy Gray Norman, and Tim Gray; and grandchildren Rachel Norman, Jessica Norman, Austin Norman, Christopher Gray, and Parker Gray.
Throughout her life, Bonnie was devoted to her family, friends, and patients and enriched the lives of many. She is greatly missed by those who had the joy of knowing her.
Due to COVID-19, a delayed celebration of life will be held Sunday, June 5. For details, contact Robert Raedisch at [email protected]

Robert, I worked as a Hospice Nurse with Bonnie for years. She was an awesome lady. I remember going to their Lake San Marcos house, being greeted by her archery bale of hay, and her wonderful dog! Terry took us out on the boat on the lake at Christmas time. And I still have her beautiful gourds on my shelf at home. Thank you so much for putting her memory in the paper. Several of us "old timers" have wondered how she was as we had lost contact with her. She truly loved her family...blessings to you all.
