Carol Stone-Muniz Obituary

Carole Stone-Muniz, 88, (born Billie Carole Davis) passed away peacefully at home under Hospice care. Carole was born in San Diego to Morgan and Virginia Davis. She is survived by her spouse, David Muniz, her sons Robert Russell Jr. of San Diego, and David Russell (Meridith), and granddaughter Melissa, of Maui.
Carole graduated from Helix High School (class Vice President) in 1952. She married and began her career at Morgan Davis and Son Meat Company, a successful meat company started by her father Morgan Davis and her brother Bud. Carole was known for her commitment to the civil and human rights movements throughout San Diego. She went back to school to earn her LPN, and began a career in nursing.
She had a beautiful smile, a positive vibe, and incredible wit. She truly was an inspiration to all who knew her. Carole was remarried to David Muniz. They were a devoted couple for over 25 years. "God truly blessed brother Bob and I by giving us such a beautiful fun loving Mom", said son Dave Russell. "She just loved us all, and was so sweet to everyone! She taught us about religion, and Jesus Christ Our Savior. She will be missed sooo much! "Free at last, free at last, Thank God Almighty, We are free at last".
