I lived in Encinitas in the 70's and attended First Baptist Encinitas where the Badger family attended. I have such fond memories of my years there at the church and being around the Badger family. I knew Cathy and remember the other children and of course sweet Sue and Chuck, they were pillars of the church. Being away from my home in Texas I looked to families like the Badgers more than they ever knew. I live back in Dallas now, and often I go back in memory to the days in Encinitas from about 1974-80 when I moved back to Texas. The Badger family were just always a shining beacon of Christian faith. I send my sincere condolences to the whole family. Sincerely, Paula Iles Restrepo

So sad to see the announcement of Mr. Badger's passing. My fond memories go back to when his cherished children played sports at San Dieguito H.S. Mr. Badger was a supportive parent of his student-athlete children, and I was a community sports reporter. We often shared the bleachers and sidelines during his kids' games. His love and support of his children, along with his kindness and friendliness, will always be fondly remembered.
Sincere condolences to his family...
