Corey Nicholas Rudl

Corey Rudl Obituary

RUDL, COREY NICHOLAS "I shall not die of having a cold, I shall die of having lived." Corey Nicholas Rudl was tragically killed on Thursday, June 2, 2005, on the racetrack at California Speedway. Corey leaves behind his wife and soul mate Tracy, loving parents John and Pat, adoring sister Hope and her husband Kevin, and goddaughter and niece, Taya. Corey lived his life to the fullest and succeeded at every challenge he embraced. He was a champion motor cross racer and with the help and encouragement of his father he began his first business by the age of 16. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to write two books by the time he was 20 and to build a 100-person enterprise by the age of 34. Mixing his passion for both cars and business with his uncanny ability to find the next big thing, early on Corey grabbed hold of the Internet. In this endeavor he became one of the most successful and respected Internet entrepreneurs in the world. Corey was an incredible leader, mentor and teacher. He helped thousands of individuals around the world achieve their dreams. His loss has been felt globally and all who knew him will miss him deeply. Although Corey's list of accomplishments is extraordinary, he was certainly just getting started on a list of projects he planned to contribute and achieve. Corey showed everyone around him that the true potential for greatness exists within each of us. Whenever we needed a hand, Corey offered two. We are heart broken to have to say goodbye. It's been said, "Don't be dismayed at goodbyes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again. And, meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are loved ones." Corey you will always be deeply loved. Corey's family invites friends to join them at a Memorial Service and reception to honor Corey at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, June 9, 2005, at La Jolla Country Club. (Also note that a tribute page has been created at www.remembercorey.com) Our dearest Corey, you lived more in 34 years than most people could live in a thousand. Your light continues to shine brightly, like a comet in the sky. We will always love you. Please sign the guest book at obituaries.uniontrib.com

I found your papers on marketing, I was very sad when you parted with this world. But I am very happy that I saved all the good things you did and made for us out here.
You will not be forgotten!

Corey lived life with a passion. A passion for people and everything else. He always had a moment to help friends, family and strangers because he knew that strangers soon became friends. Corey also lived life fast. The faster the better sometimes but this is what made him the special person he was. He will always be remembered by me as my brother and my children as Uncle Corey. although they were not old enough to really get to know him.

Rest in peace.

I want to thank the 'humble IMC student" that has kept this guest book memorial for Corey online. It warms my heart that people still remember Corey and the impact he had on so many lives. Sometimes even I forget that since I feel such a deep hurt in losing my brother and bestfriend. What a guy! For those of you that knew him online, well then, you knew him. I have a hard time believing it has been 5 years...

The world was a bright place with you amongst us Corey but it has lost a shining light with your passing. It will never be the same with you gone but I know in my heart that you are keeping us safe by observing from up above. We may have lost you in body but our fond memories of you, nobody can take from us. God speed my friend, my brother.

I love Corey and I miss him so much. I want to cry, but I know that Corey would not want me to be sad. He is still my Uncle and also my Guardian Angel.

I am shocked and amazed that such an awesome leader has been taken from this earth. I have to conclude that he was needed more elsewhere, for these types of "accidents" are approved by God.

I am grateful I followed inspiration and attended one of Corey's incredibly affordable conferences last fall in Orange County, CA. I left the conference feeling rejuvenated and regained the feeling of living successfully, that I have mostly carried all my life, after coming out of some personal tragedies myself.

May God’s choices blessings attend all who love Corey and who especially suffer the most from his passing. Thank you Corey for helping the “little” people realize their greatness within and for showing them how to pull it out of themselves. May Corey’s legacy continue.

I only met Corey a couple of times, but he made a mark in my life. I was so impressed by his warmth, his brilliance, his energy, and his enthusiasm. He touched so many in his so very short life and will be missed by all who knew him...including me.

To Corey's Family and Friends:

If ever there was someone who could light up a room simply by walking into it, Corey was that person. In all my years, there are few people who truly stand out as unique and talented to the point where you are genuinely humbled and honored by their presence, trust and friendship. Without hesitation, I can say Corey was such a person.

Corey's passing has had a powerful effect on me this past week, in ways that I would never have imagined. His creativity and drive, along with his commitment to friends, family, and the many people he touched in business made him a unique force in life; it is also strengthening his spirit and legacy as we mourn his loss and celebrate his life this week and into the future. He is an enduring lesson of what it can mean to have a positive impact on the lives of others.

I trust we can all take comfort and inspiration from Corey, knowing his life was an example of what we can accomplish once we put our talents and the right relationships in motion, regardless of the amount of time we are given to achieve great things in our lives.

I, among many, will miss him dearly. And that is a very good thing.

Corey,

You were the inspiration that got me started in Internet Marketing.

I only met you in person one time. I felt like I was meeting some sort of Internet Marketing Rock Star! You were so gracious in taking the time to speak with me when most people with as busy of a lifestyle as yours would probably have just blown me off.

The things that I learned from you in the past few years of studying every single e-mail and sales letter you wrote, along with your “Insiders Secrets” course and the other wonderful products that you created are largely to blame for the lifestyle I am now able to share with my family.

I have always felt I owed you so much and someday really wanted to tell you just what kind of a difference you have made in my family’s life.

There really is now way to put it all into words here but the things I will now be able to do for my children and the way I will be able to now bring them up is something that started with your teachings and for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

You will always be one of my greatest Mentors, and you will never be forgotten.

Tracey, John, Pat & Hope- You are all in my family’s prayers. I am sure no words can help ease the pain that you are feeling right now. Just know that Corey really did change many lives on this earth in such a big way. He will be missed but not forgotten as he truly made this world a better place.

He was a great man, and will always be thought of as Internet Marketer #1 in my book.

To the Rudl family,

My deepest condolensces for your loss.

Corey was a giant in our industry and a person who clearly merits a prominent place in the history books when the story of the early years of the Internet is told.

Much more than that, he was a remarkable human being, a true positive force of creativity and generosity.

I know that my life would not have been the same without his contributions, a sentiment that I am sure is shared by many thousands of people whose lives his trailblazing work touched,

The room was electric at Corey's conference two weeks ago in San Diego. I can only feel blessed to have been part of it and to have expereinced, first hand, his energy & enthusiasm. Tracy he mentioned you a bunch of times and the possiblities of starting a family. It's clear that his brilliant staff are all pulling together to keep his legacy and dreams alive. Another great one taken too soon. Prayers to those who know him well.

I first saw Corey speak 7 or 8 years ago - my, how the time flies - and in that short period he turned my world upside down with his energy, humour, and insights.

It was a dream come true to be invited to work at IMC. I received a hand-written card from Corey celebrating my first anniversary the day he passed away. In it he wrote: " ...and I look forward to the future!! "

I know you are looking down on us, Corey, and we will make it a future you will be proud of.

Tracey, Hope and Corey's Parents have all the love in my heart focused on their well-being ahead. I have no good words, I do however had a mountain of gratitude and a deep abiding loyalty to my mentors dream for all of us.

"Be the change in the world that you wish to see" this is what comes to mind when I remember Corey. He was the most amazing and most inspiring men I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Just being in his presence for as little as 5 minutes would have you feeling like you could take on the world ... and win!

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. Corey made a believer out of us all, he will be sadly missed but greatly cherished and remembered.

My sincere condolences to Tracey and Corey's family. You have all contributed to an amazing man's life, may his memory live on in all of you.

Corey and I first met back in 1996, on line of course. I had just started my carsnet site and he had was marketing his "Car Secrets" book on the net. Our mutual love of cars and the internet gave us instant rapport. We drifted apart over the years but he was always willing to send me his latest information on Internet Marketing. I will miss his genius and kindness. I'm sorry we never got to actually meet in person. He was truly "one of a kind". I'm sure he is working on a new marketing plan for Heaven as I type this. Rest in Peace, Corey.

I do not have the words to express my sorrow.

"Do not weep at my departure,

for I live in your memory.

Tis you who have quit my capture;

only I am absent of the sensory.

I fought to be an individual,

now I wish the same of thee.

I don't believe the physical

can bring an end to me.

Through my life I have sought

the many secrets of happiness.

If I leave you with one thought,

only this would prove most timeless:

"For age and wisdom has bought this rapture

of truth that no one can be in contempt;

defeat cannot be found in failure,

because victory is borne from the attempt."

Forever in my thoughts,

Alison

I read of Corey's untimely demise in the 6/7

issue on the San Diego Union. As an

early customer, I was shell-shocked,

to say the least. He was a giant in

the Internet Community, and will be

sorely missed. I had no idea he was

involved in racing. I find this very

difficult to believe.

To Tracy & family - my deepest, sincerest condolences for your

tragic loss.
