Daniel Orlansky died at the age of 93 from natural causes. Danny was a native San Diegan who grew up on Redwood Street in North Park, and was a pillar of the Jewish community. The Orlansky family belonged to Tifereth Israel Synagogue in San Diego for over one hundred years. After graduating San Diego High School, Danny joined the Navy from 1944-1945. Afterwards, he joined his mother in their family business, Eastern Furniture, located in The Gaslamp, which is now a historical landmark.Danny met his beloved wife of 72 years, Arlene, at a temple youth league event. They were married at Tifereth Israel in 1949. He and Arlene opened their own furniture store, Daniels Interiors, on Magnolia Blvd in El Cajon.He loved to play and watch tennis and was often called "Ace" by his family. He was a loving man of integrity, kindness and generosity who treasured his family.Daniel is survived by his wife Arlene and their children: Gary, Rob, and Shelle; grandchildren: Sam, Sari, Cory, Darienne, and Adam; great-grandchildren: Kayli, Jasmine, Noah, and Dani.Danny was buried at El Camino Memorial Park.
