Deborah Lee Whitfield May 11, 1957 - December 22, 2021 SAN DIEGO
Deborah Lee Whitfield was born in San Diego May 11, 1957, to Helen and Passie Lee Whitfield. Deborah attended Logan Elementary School, Correia Middle school, and Point Loma High School. She was an outstanding student with a love for reading science fiction and romance novels.
She started working at the San Diego Housing Commission in 1978 until she retired in 2012. Deborah moved to Las Vegas in 2015, and her love for helping people didn't stop, so she started working at the Las Vegas Housing Commission in 2016.
Deborah was a ray of sunshine to everyone around her. Deborah loved going to concerts, and family get-togethers, amusement parks, going to the beach, but most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.
Deborah was preceded in death by her mother Helen Whitfield, father Passie Lee Whitfield, her brother Michael Anthony Whitfield and her beloved niece Tiana Nicole Butler. Not to forget her bestie, Nikki Smith.
Deborah leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Diamond McCullough-Nance, and Hoover Nance. Her beloved grandchildren, KingHoover, Kasch, and Princess Nance. Her sisters Mae Whitfield, Gail and Will Carroll, Tabitha and Anthony McCauley, Diane Thomas, Nell Whitfield, Angie and Nick Stein, her brothers Gilbert Whitfield, Danny and Lily Whitfield, Jerry and Connie Whitfield, Grafton Whitfield, and Berry Whitfield, as well as a host of nieces and nephews, special friends Veronica-Craig Barbee, Andrea Ahee, Patricia Davis, Linda Briggs, and Ronda Jackson.
Thank you, friends and family, for your love and support during this difficult time. We will always carry Deborah's loving spirit and memories in our hearts.
