Dwight Willis Obituary

Willis, Dwight L. "Bud" SAN DIEGO -- San Diego lost a native son on June 25, 2013, when the kind heart of Dwight L. "Bud" Willis stopped beating. Dwight was a San Diegan all his life, save the two years he served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a UT employee for over 30 years, retiring as the composing room supervisor. His enjoyments were family, friends, the Padres and the Chargers. He lived a full, happy life and will be missed. Dwight is survived by his daughters Joni Correia (Joe), Beth Willis, stepson Steven Shockome (Georgia) and grandchildren Devin, Steven, Brandon, Spencer, Stone, Cher and Tiffany. Cryptside services at 11 a.m. Monday, July 1, at Greenwood Memorial Park at the Sanctuary of Daniel section.

I have fond memories of growing up on Aragon Dr. in the mid-60s, living 2 doors up from Bud. He was always great with us kids! A good guy.
