Thank you for all your fond memories it's been over a year since my mom has passed and it has been a hard one.
For those of you who did not know she was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in late aug 2013 doctor said she had 21/2 months to live but she fought for another 3 months. We miss her dearly and passed too quickly before our eyes.
She was always on the go with her smile helping people until the last 3 months. Thank you for remembering her. God bless

Erin & Kevin - We lived next door to your family when you were on Melbourne drive. Your mother came over to watch my eldest, Jason (age 3) when I went into labor with his brother. We have many fond memories of Ida and her wonderful caring personality. My heartfelt condolences to your family.

I am sorry to learn about Ida's passing. I knew her at Memorial Junior High, San Diego High and San Diego State. I was honored to be the master of ceremonies at her wedding reception, when the Mayor of San Diego, Mayor Daly, presented the key to the city to Ida and her husband. I pray that the family is comforted at this difficult time.

Ida and I attended Memorial Jr. High and San Diego High together. She was smart, always graceful and a pleaseure to be around. Our 50th Class Reunion was the last time we hugged , laughed and spoke. She always made you feel as if we had seen each other the week before.
All I can offer are my deepest sympathy and prayers to her children grandchildren and friends who have lost a loved one.

It was a pleasure to have known Ida. We saw each other at our 50th high school reunion and talked about our careers as nurses. She talked about coming back to San Diego and getting into home health. She must have been very special to be nurse of the year. My condolences to the family. I'm glad I got to see her at the reunion.

What can I say about this special lady? Ida was a gentle, kind and caring person who always greeted you with a smile. We attended Memorial Jr. High School, San Diego High School and SDSU together. After we went our separate ways, our high school reunions brought us back together and it was as if time stood still and we were all back at school doing something “silly”. The last time I saw Ida was at our 50th Reunion in 2012. As always, we greeted each other with lots of hugs – I wish we had more time to talk but we were suppose to get together with Dorothy & Pam for a Day at the Races at Del Mar last August but at the last minute, Ida said she was not feeling well and had to bow out. She sent me an email, “I was there with you in spirit. And so would have been there betting for the "best looking horse" if I could. Lets get together again, ok? So cherish all the great endearing memories of growing up and so much fun. Luv Ida” Luv you, too, Ida.

Your mom, sister was a very special lady. We all hung out together after the high school football games. I'm so glad that I was able to see her again at the class reunion. She still had the beautiful smile and special way about her that drew people to want to be with her. Truly special person. It is a sad day,,,
