James Storc Obituary
James passed away at his family home where he lived for many years.
James was born in 1958 to Gayle and Stanley Storc at St. Francis Hospital in Lynwood, California. He is survived by his seven siblings, a niece, six nephews and five godchildren.
James attended St. Matthias and St. Francis Elementary Schools. He studied at San Marcos High School and then his sophomore year at St. Vincent's Seminary in Montebello. He graduated from San Marcos High School.
A gifted artist, James created many drawings and paintings. He used his craft as a hardworking tile setter, and ran his own business, Cal Custom Tile.
James loved the Eagles band and saw them at many concerts. At the Del Mar Fair in San Diego, he enjoyed coin-pitching games for large stuffed animals. He won so many that he donated them as prizes for a charity carnival.
James volunteered for Brother Benno at the Prince of Peace Abbey in Oceanside, delivering food to the needy. He spent six months living as a contemplative in the Anza Borrego desert.
Hawaii was one of his favorite vacation destinations. James loved camping at June Mountain. He also traveled to New York, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, and Paris, France.
James' Memorial Service is scheduled for 1:00 pm, on Friday, November 11, 2022, at St. Mark's Roman Catholic Church, 1147 Discovery St. San Marcos, CA 92078.
