I had the honor of knowing Mr. Stawicki for many years.I was friends with both his sons Tom and Dan. He was always someone that I could talk to for hours. We could always talk about sports and it did not matter what sport he could tell me everything about it. He was a very proud man who truly had a soft spot for his dogs. I was always so impressed with all that he did as a athlete. This man entered more races than anyone half his age could do. It seemed like every week he would be preparing for a marathon for the following weekend. If you ever told him how great it was that he could do it he would say no big deal. He would almost be embarrassed if you praised him for his accomplishments to him it was just another race. There were many times I would stop by looking for Tom and if he was not there I would sit and talk to Mr.Stawicki and his sense of humor was the one thing that I always loved when talking to him. I will never forget him. My Condolences to All of his Family.
