Julia Jean Koehler 1952 - 2021 San Diego, CA
Julie was born in San Diego to Harold and Bonnie Koehler and grew up in La Mesa. She graduated from Granite Hills High School and Kelsey-Jenney Business College.
In spite of many physical limitations, Julie displayed a thirst for knowledge and was an avid reader. An accomplished seamstress, she created beautiful knitted and crocheted items. Among her many interests was the era of silent and early black and white movies.
Julie was very active in the local bluegrass community, and at one time, was a review editor for Bluegrass Now, a national magazine.
Julie was a warm and caring person and impacted many lives in a positive way. She had a wide circle of friends and treasured each friendship.
She is survived by her mother, Bonnie Koehler, her sister, Donna Koehler and brother, Richard Koehler. No services are planned at this time.
