Katherine Raeburn Kitson

KITSON, KATHERINE RAEBURN Katherine Raeburn Kitson, 82, of La Jolla, CA, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2003 at Grossmont Hospital. Born in Canada, she spent her childhood years in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She married in 1946 and came to San Diego as a war bride. She was an excellent seamstress and a talented craft artist, skills which were apparent in her years as a mother and homemaker and, subsequently, during her years in retail at Mervyn ' s. She continued to enjoy these pursuits in her retirement years, with an enthusiasm rivaled only by her interest in her grandchildren and Padres baseball. She is survived by her son Lyall of El Cajon, his wife Laura and their children, Kyle and Kayla; her son Lloyd of La Mesa, his wife Nancy and their children, Michelle and David; her son Keith of Phoenix, his wife Karen and their children, Jennifer, Natalie and Stephanie; and her sister Nell Dampier of Pacific Beach. A memorial service will be held Monday, July 14th at 11:00 AM at Foothills United Methodist Church, 4031 Avocado Blvd., La Mesa.
