Kipp Downing Obituary
July 5, 1948 - December 30, 2020

Kipp Robert Downing was a devoted father, husband, and successful restauranteur. He left this world on December 30, 2020. Kipp was born in Boulder, CO and is preceded in death by his father, Robert, mother, Jean, and sister, Linda. He is survived by his daughters Julia, Olivia, and Matlin, stepdaughters Jamie, Hailey, and Drew, grandson Dayton, wife Jacquee and siblings Kirk and Janet.Kipp earned his Bachelor degree from CU Boulder's Leeds School of Business as a member of Phi Delta Theta, with a hiatus in the military in the early 70's thrown in the timeline. After graduation he traveled to California to join a fraternity brother in the restaurant business for "a little while". Kipp both never left California nor the restaurant business. A life-long lover of the game of golf, Kipp will always be remembered for his unique swing and love of the game, if not also his love of a great cigar and story. As much as he loved the game of golf, he cherished his family and friends, who were chosen family. Nothing was more important to him than the people in his life. Kipp's life will be celebrated on July 5th in Del Mar, CA. Please contact his wife at [email protected] if you plan to attend.
