Lois M. Carrollton

Lois M. Carrollton, 79 FALLBROOK -- Lois M. Carrollton passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2009. The daughter of Leonard and Lois Berkstresser of Johnstown, Pa., she was born on August 1, 1930 in Geistown, Pa. Lois married John Carrollton in 1955 in New York City. She worked there as an accountant and business administrator for a marketing survey company. She retired in 1995. Lois was a gregarious, independent lady who cherished her family, friends, and more than a dozen rescued cats. She enjoyed reading, Mah Jongg, theater and travel. She was a member of the Fallbrook Senior Citizens and the Fallbrook Quilt Guild. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, John Carrollton; brother, Dale Berkstresser; nephew, Lenny Berkstresser; and her parents. She is survived by her brothers; Kenneth Berkstresser of Fallbrook, Calif., Theodore Berkstresser of Payson, Ariz., Leonard Berkstresser of Fallbrook, Calif., and Donald Berkstresser of Nottingham, Pa.; sister, Betty King of Bonsall, Calif.; ten nephews and six nieces.
