Louise Sousa Obituary

Louise Lou' Sousa RANCHO SANTA FE Mrs. E. Louise (Lou) Sousa, of Rancho Santa Fe, California, born on February 12, 1930 in Roanoke, Virginia, to Sophia Joiner, passed away peacefully at age 88 on July 21, 2018 in La Jolla, California, surrounded by her family. Lou was married to George Sousa, her high school sweetheart, on December 23, 1950. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sophia Joiner, and her brother, William Lonney. Lou is survived by her three sons, Rick, Bill, and Jim; and grandchildren, Andrea Sousa, Rochele Bratten, Joey Sousa, Shelby Sousa, and Courtney Sousa. Lou also had four great-grandchildren. Lou shared many wonderful adventures with her husband during their time together, and received great joy spending time with her family and close friends. Her passion was raising orchids and sharing them with loved ones.A celebration of life will be held in September, with the date and location to be given to family and friends once finalized. The family invites donations in Lou's name to American Heart Association, in lieu of flowers. February 12, 1930 - July 21, 2018
