Margret Amtmann Obituary

AMTMANN, MARGRET On February 14, 2004, Margret Amtmann, passed away peacefully in her sleep in Santa Fe, NM. She was born February 26, 1909 in Wuppertal-Barmen, Germany and was married to Hans H. Amtmann on October 10, 1934. After World War II, the family immigrated to the US under the American Government ' s Operation Project Paperclip. The family settled in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif. in 1950, where Margret was very active in the newly formed Presbyterian Church, the Rancho Santa Fe Library and Rancho Santa Fe Garden Club until the family moved to Santa Fe, NM in 2001. She is preceded in death by her son Dieter. She is survived by her husband Hans, of Santa Fe, NM, her son Jurgen and wife Janet of Santa Fe, son Gunter and wife Renate of Wuppertal, Germany, daughter Sylvia Kell and husband Rick, of Tucson, Ariz., ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
