Des, Frances, Kevin, Deirdre, Declan, Liam, McGraths, Hoverters.
My thoughts are with you all. I first met Marjorie in Dunoon in 1993 with Joe & Derek. The following year when we 'invaded' 9044 for 5 weeks was the best vacation of my live. Apart from my home in Scotland the San Diego area is my favorite place in the whole world. And it's because of the people. Marjorie was the best. And you guys are the best. God Bless you all.

To all of our dear friends and relatives: Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your lovely tributes to our darling Marjorie. She was a wonderful and loving sister to Clare and me. She was a great mother and nana and, as I can see from the many posts, a true friend. It's hard to imagine life without our Marjorie. All I can say is that she was just the best. She could charm the hind legs off a donkey. As for championing the underdog, she was tops. Please know that our family deeply appreciates your kind words during these sad, sad days. To all of you, God bless you always.

Lord,
As I still try to grasp the surreal ness of Marje’s passing, I ask for all of us she left behind, remembrance. As a wife, mother, sister, nana, auntie, friend, she loved us all, uniquely. Her famous one liners, hilarious stories, the way she would listen to our woes and bring them onto herself in hope that our spirit would be lightened, is only a few of the gifts she has left in our hearts to cherish when her memory renews itself in our thoughts. I ask Lord, also during those times of feeling lost and empty inside because of her absence that we remember and bring to our hearts one of her most famous sayings, “On you go pet, on you go!” Where she reminds us in her own Scottish way, that life goes on; you fall on your bum, pick yourself up, brush off the mess and carry on with the strength and faith that is within your heart. She expects nothing more from us that she didn’t expect from herself. So, I thank you for the gift of Marje Lord, not only in my life but in all those who genuinely loved her. Thank you also for remembrance…she will never be forgotten and always loved. Amen.

Mrs. Desmond was my mom's best friend and like a 2nd mother to myself. I have known her since I was in kindergarten. Every summer my mom took me to her 4th of July block parties, and when she moved away my mom couldn't stand being away from her on the 4th of July, so we both took a road trip out to OK. I was glad that my mom and I got to do that. I loved Mrs. D and the rest of the Desmonds like my own family and she will be greatly missed. Oh and also, I gotta say that Mrs. Desmond gets most of the credit for me proudly calling myself a Republican.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to the family of Marjorie Desmond. From my parents, Mary and Wil Williamson, and myself and my family, we send our prayers and thoughts to all of you. I can still hear her wonderful laugh, as I heard it so many times during Irish dance classes. She was a wonderful person, and will be truly missed.

"Oh have you seen my dear companion for she was all this world to me. I hear she's gone to some far country and she's waiting there for me. I wish I was a swallow flying. I'd fly to a high and lonesome place. I'd join the wild birds in their crying thinking of you and your sweet face." Marje, until we sing together again, save a seat next to you in the heavenly choir.

For All of Marjorie's Family and Dear Friends:
I thought of all of you today
And said a little prayer;
I felt an answer in my heart
And knew that he was there.
I asked that he be near you
At the start of each new day
To grant you strength, health and great blessings. And family and friends to share your way.
I ask for happiness for you
In all things, great and small,
But it was for his loving care
That I prayed for most of all.
Our deepest sympathy,
Karen & John Connolly
What a beautiful woman, she was!!! She will never be forgotten.

Our sincere thoughts are with all of Marjorie's family today and for many days to come. I am the mom of one of the pre-schoolers that "Miss Marjie" as my Jacob called her. She touched our lives in such a sweet thoughtful way. We have only lived in Oklahoma for just a few months and I as a mom was concerned about where to send Jacob to pre-school, well needless to say Miss Marjie made all those worries go away. Thank you for sharing your loved one with us and may God bless all of you during this difficult time.
In Christs Love,

Margi was a beautiful lady, who was quick with an anecdote or "wee Scot's story" to make this son of a Glasgow Scotsman laugh. We worked together on the Skyline Church project, and she was indeed the bloom of the heather, and the ray of sunshine that filled our day. Our love to her family.

Our hearts are so heavy with the loss of our beloved friend. Marje spread sunshine wherever she went & had to be loved by all who came in contact with her. We cherished her friendship & that of her family & will miss her terribly. However, we know for sure she is in the arms of Jesus, now, holding baby Edward & with Timmy & Heather. Our love & prayers go out to all of you, especially dear Tim. Virgil & Pat Oakes
