Mary Aline Perry Mellott May 31, 1932 - November 19, 2021 Greenwood, IN Mary Aline Perry Mellott, of Greenwood, Indiana passed away on November 19, 2021. Mary was born on May 31, 1932, in Wilmington, Ohio and grew up in Ohio and Indiana. She attended Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, where she obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. She worked in Indianapolis for many years as a nurse. Mary moved to California where she met her husband, Charles Mellott, and they adopted her daughter, Erin. Her joys in life were spending time with her family.
Mary is survived by three sisters, Nancy (Jack) Meadows, Linda (Frank) Taylor, June Ellen (Bill) Mitchell; sister-in-law, Carolyn Perry; brother-in-law, James Hearn; three stepchildren, Sherrie Padget, Pamela Roos, and Jeffery Mellott; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Pearl (Smaltz) Perry; her husband, Charles Mellott; daughter, Erin; siblings, Margaret Crites, Charlotte Hearn, Janet Doane, Jill Benton, Carol Sesma, William Perry, and Kenn Perry. A graveside memorial service will be held in Poway, California at a later date. Contact Nancy Meadows for time and date.
