Michael Joseph Uebbing

Michael Joseph Uebbing of Santee CA left this world on April 13, 2024 after a long illness. Mike was a complicated man with a big heart and a love of a good time. He lived life on his own terms, and would tolerate BS only to a point. He could be volatile when alcohol was involved, an inherited trait. Mike owned his mistakes and did his best to atone for them. Friends and family will have fond remembrances of Mike's adventurous nature and forgiving, generous spirit. As a young scholar, Mike attended Boys State in Sacramento representing Santana High School. Signed to a minor league baseball contract out of high school, Mike pursued a pitching career at the professional level for several years. He was avid in his hobbies and loved golf, was an excellent marksman, and greatly enjoyed a weekend ride on his motorcycle. A professional painter by trade, Mike led painting crews for General Coatings, Onofrio, and Pecorado painting companies of San Diego. A hard worker with the aforementioned generous spirit, Mike could be counted on when friends or family needed help with a household project or household move. A favorite anecdote was that while helping his youngest brother's family move into a rental home, Mike painted the entire interior of said home while the U-Haul was being unloaded, an incredible feat of speed and skill. Mike will be greatly missed by all. Mike is survived by his devoted wife, two brothers, two sisters, a sister-in-law, a nephew and a niece. No services are scheduled.
